Wairata Station is a large hill country sheep and beef farm and is covered in and surrounded by New Zealand's beautiful native forest. You can simply join in with shifting stock or take a 4WD trip to remember, from the homestead across open farmland, across rocky streams & up steep farm tracks to the top of the mountains. You will enjoy fantastic views of the valley, the Waioeka River, farmland and surrounding native forests. We have over 20 kilometres of farm tracks (some weather dependant), which offer guests a range of scenic 4WD tours or walks. Often 4WD tours are incorporated with other farm activities.
